Cookie Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Kaarsen Bouckaert BV, trading as Bellume (Beukenhofstraat 113, 8570 Vichte, Belgium – hello@bellume.com), uses cookies and similar technologies on bellume.com.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, work in a comparable way. We refer to all of them as "cookies".

Your consent

When you first visit our website, a cookie banner asks for your consent. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the website cannot work without them. All other cookies are only placed if you accept them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings on our website, or by deleting cookies in your browser.

Which cookies do we use?

1. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the website work: for example, remembering the products in your cart, your country and currency, your cookie choice, and keeping checkout secure. They are placed by Shopify, the platform our webshop runs on.

2. Preference cookies (with your consent)
These remember choices you make, such as whether you have already seen or closed our newsletter pop-up. This pop-up is provided by our email app CWILL (SendWILL / EcomSend).

3. Analytics cookies (with your consent)
These help us understand how visitors use our website, so that we can improve it. We use Shopify's built-in analytics for this.

4. Marketing cookies (with your consent)
These are used to measure the results of our advertising and to show you relevant Bellume content on social media. We use the Meta pixel (Facebook & Instagram) for this purpose. Meta may combine this information with data it holds about you.

Third parties

These parties may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long are cookies stored?

Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies); others remain for a set period, from a few days up to a maximum of two years, or until you delete them.

More information

For more information about how we process your personal data and about your rights, please read our Privacy Policy. Questions? Contact us at hello@bellume.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
